How This NBA Player Wheel Works

A short guide covering how to run a draft with it, what's actually in
each preset, and how we keep team rosters from going stale.

What's on the wheel
The wheel opens with the current NBA All-Stars list loaded by
default — around 16 names covering the league's top scorers and
MVP-caliber players this season. Swap that out any time for a
single team's roster, an all-time Legends list, or your own names
pasted in.
It's built for the moments where picking manually gets slow or
starts an argument: setting a fantasy draft order, running a
trivia round, deciding what to watch tonight, or filling a segment
on stream. Every entry has the same odds, so there's no need to
referee the result.
Presets and rosters
All-Stars
Current stars such as Stephen Curry, Nikola Jokic, Jayson Tatum and
Luka Doncic. This list gets refreshed as form and team situations
shift through the season.
Legends
Twelve retired players spanning different eras of the league —
Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson and
others — for trivia and "who's the GOAT" debates rather than
this season's action.
Team rosters
Five teams have their own preset chip — Lakers, Warriors, Celtics,
Heat and Bulls — each pulling in that team's current roster. The
Heat roster now includes Giannis Antetokounmpo after his 2026
trade from Milwaukee, and the Bulls preset reflects Nic Claxton's
move to Chicago and the Norman Powell signing. Want a division,
your league's full player pool, or a team we haven't built a chip
for? Use Bulk Paste — one name per line or comma-separated — to
load anything.

franchises, which is a quick way to pick a team without leaving
this page — see the next section if that's actually what you're
after.
Using it for a draft order
Paste your league's full player pool with Bulk Paste, then turn on
Remove Winner After Spin before you start. Each
name comes out of the pool the moment it's picked, so spinning
repeatedly builds a non-repeating draft order instead of risking
the same player twice. If a spin gets misread or you want a
do-over, the result modal has a Remove & Continue button so
you don't have to delete entries by hand.
How the odds work
Each name on the wheel gets an equal-size slice of the circle. If
you've got 12 players loaded, every one of them has a 1-in-12
chance on that spin — and the next spin starts from zero again,
regardless of who already came up. The stopping point is generated
independently each time rather than following any pattern.
Player wheel vs. team wheel
This page spins people. If what you actually want

Keeping rosters accurate
Team presets get reviewed at three points in the calendar — the
start of free agency, the trade deadline, and the start of each
new season — plus whenever a confirmed trade affects one of the
five teams above. The most recent pass was August 24, 2026, which
is when Giannis Antetokounmpo's move to Miami and Nic Claxton's
trade to Chicago were added.
A signing from the last few days may not have made it into a
preset yet. If a name is missing, add it yourself with Bulk Paste
rather than waiting — that always beats an out-of-date roster.
